About Calvary Baptist Church
Calvary Baptist Church, located at 203 E 3rd Avenue in Spokane, Washington, is the oldest African American church in the state, founded in 1890. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. C. W. Andrews Sr. and First Lady Doris for over 48 years, the church continues its mission to reveal God's word as a community of baptized believers committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The congregation is dedicated to spreading the Gospel throughout the world and developing Christian youth leadership. Calvary Baptist Church welcomes visitors to join in worship and become part of a faith community with deep historical roots and a strong commitment to both spiritual growth and community service.
