The church's name comes from a Huron word for God, reflecting the congregation's belief that God's Spirit was present in this place long before the building was constructed. Worship blends music, prayer, scripture, and reflection in a way that is meaningful and accessible, welcoming people whether they have lifelong faith or are just beginning to explore spirituality. The congregation is small and diverse, rooted in service to the South Tacoma community through food and clothing banks, education, and neighborhood partnerships.
