About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Walla Walla has served the community for 150 years, beginning as a Cumberland Presbyterian congregation in 1873 before merging with the First Presbyterian Church in 1907. The church is rooted in Reformed theology and Presbyterian governance, emphasizing God's sovereignty, salvation by grace through faith, and the centrality of Scripture. Today, WWPC is affiliated with ECO and led by Rev. Albert Gillin, who has served for over 20 years with deep community involvement. The congregation welcomes families and children through active Sunday school programs, The ROCK youth group, and Vacation Bible School, while maintaining a mission of reconciliation and Christian witness both locally and globally.
