About St. Anthony Catholic Church

St. Anthony Catholic Church has served the Charleston community since 1908, when it was established as a national parish for Polish immigrants working in the area. The present church building, constructed in 1955, features striking Franciscan-themed stained glass windows designed by Father Cuthbert and manufactured by Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studios, reflecting the parish's rich heritage with the Capuchin Franciscan Friars who ministered there for over a century. Today, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Thomas Dharelli, the parish continues to offer a vibrant Catholic community with regular Mass schedules, sacramental services, and parish ministries. The church is located at the corner of Sixth and Russell streets on Charleston's west side and welcomes both parishioners and visitors to participate in its spiritual life and community offerings.
