The church has served as a spiritual beacon to the community since its founding in the aftermath of the Civil War, literally rising from the ashes of that turbulent period. Worship services are held every Sunday at 11am, with Sunday school for elementary-aged children also meeting at that time. The church welcomes visitors to join the congregation for worship and community fellowship. Parking is available on Washington Street in front of the church and in a small lot off Gilmore Street.
