About Marshall Catholic Newman Center
The Marshall Catholic Newman Center, established in 1981 by the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, serves as a welcoming home away from home for the Catholic community at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Operating for over four decades, the center brings together students in an intentionally Christ-centered environment where they can come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ and His Church. The community offers multiple spaces for spiritual growth and fellowship, including a chapel for quiet prayer, a sanctuary for Mass, and a Newman Lounge for social connection. The center welcomes all Marshall University students, staff, and faculty, as well as prospective students and their families, creating a tradition of spiritual development and loving thy neighbor.
