About Tree Of Life Congregation
Tree of Life Congregation is a Reform Jewish community in Morgantown, West Virginia, affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. Founded in 1922 as the Tree of Life Community Center, the congregation moved to its permanent synagogue location at 242 South High Street in 1949. Led by Rabbi Joe, who was ordained by Hebrew Union College in 2009, the congregation functions as a spiritual home through three pillars: as a House of Prayer offering Shabbat services in various formats, Torah study, and holiday observances; as a House of Assembly providing youth activities, community service opportunities, and shared events with local organizations; and as a House of Study with religious education from preschool through adult classes. The congregation welcomes visitors to experience its family-centered approach to Jewish life and learning in the heart of West Virginia.
