About Saint Mary Catholic Church
Saint Mary Catholic Church is a Catholic parish in the Ashland/Odanah area with roots reaching back to the late 19th century. The church was dedicated in 1883 under the patronage of the Sorrowful Mother, and the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration opened a parish school in Odanah that same year. The current site was purchased in 1888 from a former Presbyterian mission by Katherine Drexel. The school served the parish community until 1969, and St. Mary Parish marked its centennial in 1999 with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Raphael M. Fliss. Sunday worship is held at 11:00 AM.
