About Christus Lutheran Church
Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville welcomes people of all nations into fellowship with Jesus Christ through the proclamation of the Gospel and the teaching of God's Word. The church gathers as a community of sinners seeking forgiveness, receiving it through the Living Word, and returning to the world in loving service. Christus offers a range of ministries including Sunday School for children and adults, youth groups for grades 6-12, choirs for all ages, prayer groups, and pastoral care and counseling. The congregation celebrates Holy Communion at most worship services and belongs to Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) and the Augustana District. Service Format: Holy Communion is celebrated at most worship services, with kneeling communion on the second and fourth Sundays and continuous walk-up communion at other services; Sunday services are held at 8am and 10:30am through May, then 9am Sundays and 6:30pm Wednesdays June through August. Visitor Tips: All who are baptized and believe in the presence of Jesus Christ in the bread and wine and know their need of forgiveness are welcome to receive the Lord's Supper; the church offers Sunday School at 9:15am Sundays from September through May for ages three through ninth grade.
