About Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church ELCA
Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregation located along the shore of Pioneer Lake in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, just 15 minutes north of Eagle River. Founded over 100 years ago on October 26, 1903, with nine charter members, the church has grown from early services conducted in Swedish in homes and schools to today's welcoming community worshipping in a modern building constructed in 1999. As a Christ-centered congregation, Pioneer Lake Lutheran is known for its warm and faithful people who share the love of Jesus Christ through traditional Sunday worship, including Holy Communion most Sundays, as well as through active outreach ministries that serve both the local community and the broader world. The church emphasizes lifelong Christian education, small group ministries, and opportunities for all ages to participate in the life of the congregation. Service Format: Sunday Worship begins at 9:00 am with Holy Communion every Sunday, followed by Fellowship Hour at 10:15 am; children are welcome and encouraged to worship with their parents. Visitor Tips: Greeters at the door will answer questions and direct you to the worship center; visitors will not be publicly introduced during the service but are encouraged to introduce themselves to others and stay for Fellowship Hour afterward.
