About St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church
St. John the Evangelist is Wisconsin's oldest continuously active Catholic congregation, founded by Venerable Father Samuel Mazzuchelli in 1831 and located in downtown Green Bay. This diverse and vibrant parish serves both Deaf and Hearing members in a bilingual, bicultural community nourished by the Eucharist and committed to lifelong faith formation. Sunday Mass at 10:30 a.m. is interpreted for the Deaf, while weekday masses are offered Tuesday, Thursday, and select other days. The parish actively promotes peace and justice, welcoming and serving all people without judgment through various ministries including RCIA, charitable giving, and faith-centered outreach to the wider community.
