About Bethlehem UCC
Bethlehem United Church of Christ is a caring community of Christians located in rural Kiel, Wisconsin, rooted in a rich heritage dating back to its founding in 1865 by eighteen farming families. The congregation describes itself as friendly and welcoming, composed of business owners, teachers, retirees, and young families bound together by the Holy Spirit who love to eat and sing together. The church moved to a new, fully accessible facility in 2006 built on fifteen acres, featuring a spacious sanctuary, separate Sunday School classrooms, a large fellowship hall, and modern amenities. Bethlehem fulfills its mission through worship, fellowship, study, and service to others, including community outreach through special events like a chili supper fundraiser and participation in local food pantry initiatives. The congregation celebrates its history annually, with 2026 marking 160 years of ministry in the community. All are welcome to join this vibrant country church in experiencing faith lived out together.
