Mt Calvary Lutheran Church

Dress Code: Visitors are encouraged to wear whatever they are comfortable with, whether formal or casual clothing. Service Format: Most weeks follow a liturgical order of worship that includes confession of sin, hearing God's forgiveness, prayer, and singing, with messages based on weekly Scripture themes. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, the Lord's Supper is celebrated; the church practices closed communion for members of Mt. Calvary or affiliated churches. Visitor Tips: The main entrance is on the corner of 16th Street and Park Avenue, where volunteers greet guests. A quiet room in the back of the church allows parents to watch and hear the service with children who need a calmer environment. Sunday School is available after the 9 AM service for children ages 3 through 8th grade during the school year.
