About Pres House
Pres House is a Presbyterian campus ministry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that has served students since 1907. The community describes itself as a spiritual home for UW students of all backgrounds, led by two BIPOC pastors and intentionally LGBTQ+ inclusive. Worship on Sundays welcomes people from diverse religious traditions and perspectives, and the community emphasizes radical, inclusive teachings of Jesus alongside social justice engagement. Beyond Sunday services, Pres House builds community through shared meals, Bible study, and fellowship that brings together students across differences of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and political affiliation. The ministry prioritizes creating space for spiritual exploration, honest doubt, and faith development in a welcoming environment where all are invited to belong.
