About Lyster Lutheran Church ELCA
Lyster Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation located in rural Nelson, Wisconsin, with roots stretching back to 1866 when Norwegian American settlers founded it to continue their faith community. Under the pastoral leadership of Mike Vetsch since 1993, the church has grown to an active membership of over 400 and remains deeply engaged in its community through various ministries including Sunday School, a women's choir, youth groups, and the beloved annual Lutefisk Dinner. The congregation has been spreading the good news of God's love for more than 150 years and welcomes visitors who find themselves in the northern Wisconsin area to stop by and experience their worship and fellowship.
