Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, located at 1335 South Green Bay Road in Racine, Wisconsin, has served the local Greek community since its founding in 1916. The parish, whose name means Dormition of the Mother of God, is part of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago and maintains a welcoming community of approximately 200 families across Wisconsin and Illinois counties. The Divine Liturgy is celebrated in English with some Greek, and sermons are delivered entirely in English, making services accessible to both long-time members and newcomers. Guided by Rev. Fr. John Ketchum, the parish operates on a full stewardship basis with no required pledges and actively welcomes new members into its faith community. At the heart of parish life is the Holy Eucharist, through which the congregation participates in the divine life of the Holy Trinity.
