About Racine Dominicans
The Racine Dominicans are a community of vowed women religious sisters and lay associates located in Racine, Wisconsin, where they have maintained their presence since 1862. Rooted in the Dominican Catholic tradition and guided by their principle of being "Committed to Truth, Compelled to Justice," they embody a spirituality centered on prayer, study, and preaching inspired by St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena. The community serves in diverse ministries including healthcare, education, social work, pastoral care, and peace activism, reflecting their commitment to sustaining the fundamental right of every person to pursue fullness of life. Their home, Siena, located north of Racine on the shore of Lake Michigan about thirty miles south of Milwaukee, welcomes visitors to join the sisters for liturgy and communal prayer.
