About First Congregational Church of Ripon
First Congregational Church of Ripon is Ripon’s oldest continuous church organization, founded in 1850. The congregation is part of the United Church of Christ and the Wisconsin Conference, and it voted in 2019 to become part of the UCC’s Open and Affirming covenant. Its current church building was constructed in 1866–68 and is listed on both the Wisconsin and National Register of Historic Places. Worship is described as contemporary and blended, and church life includes children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups.
