About St John United Church of Christ
St. John United Church of Christ in Sheboygan welcomes everyone to be part of their family of faith, sharing together in God's love. Founded in 1902 with thirteen charter members, the congregation has grown into a vibrant community guided by their mission to bring acceptance, hope, love, and peace to all through compassion. They follow the teaching of Jesus, who never rejected people, reflecting the church's commitment to openness and inclusion. Under the leadership of Rev. Judine Duerwaechter, their first female pastor installed in 2023, St. John's offers Sunday worship at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday worship at 6:00 p.m., and Sunday School during Sunday services. The church also hosts baptisms and weddings and celebrates Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
