About Grace United Church Of Christ
Grace United Church of Christ, located on the west side of Wausau at 535 South 3rd Avenue, welcomes visitors as part of its mission to make disciples and serve the community. Founded in 1886 by German immigrant families, the congregation moved to its current location in 1894 and dedicated the present building in 1926. As a United Church of Christ congregation, Grace values theological exploration, questions of faith, and inclusive community, believing that answers are found best together rather than alone. The church offers a blend of classic and contemporary worship forms, with services lasting about an hour and led by pastors who weave scripture, humor, and personal stories into dynamic messages. Visitors will find a family-friendly environment where children are welcomed and included in worship, along with opportunities to engage in volunteer ministries, small groups, and community service through initiatives like a sidewalk food pantry and the Willing Workers group.
