Pilgrim Lutheran Church is a Southeast side neighborhood congregation in Wausau that has been sharing the love of God through Jesus Christ since 1947 as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The church offers joyful worship, education for children, and adult small group studies, along with activities like choir, confirmation classes, quilting, and prayer ministry. Beyond their congregation, Pilgrim takes seriously the needs of those outside their faith circle, supporting local food shelves, the weekend "Blessings that Give Hope" food program at John Marshall Elementary School, and broader missions including ELCA World Hunger, Disaster Relief, and a companion relationship with Rorisang Parish in South Africa. Members reflect that while the congregation has evolved over seven decades, they gather each Sunday to celebrate the timeless and eternal presence of the Lord in their lives, believing there is a place for everyone at Pilgrim Lutheran.
