About Heart of the Nation
Heart of the Nation is a Catholic media ministry based at Sacred Heart Croatian Parish in Milwaukee that has been bringing televised Mass to faithful nationwide since 1984. What began as a single Palm Sunday broadcast in Los Angeles has grown into the most widely distributed televised Mass in the country, reaching tens of millions of homes through broadcast, cable, satellite channels, and online platforms. The ministry serves Catholics who cannot attend parish Mass in person, offering multiple camera angles to immerse viewers in the liturgical experience while featuring the church's stained glass and sacred art. Beyond the televised liturgy, Heart of the Nation provides extensive spiritual resources including a large-print Prayer & Worship Guide, a monthly bulletin with reflections and inspirational articles, daily prayers, an online Rosary, and weekly reflections. The community welcomes prayer intentions from viewers, incorporating them into the Mass, and maintains a prayer line available weekdays for those seeking intercession and spiritual support.
