About St. Barnabas Congregation - St. Augustine Site - Office
Saint Barnabas Catholic Congregation is a united community of believers formed in 2024 through the merger of three West Allis parishes: St. Rita, St. Augustine, and Holy Assumption. Inspired by the Great Commission, the parish serves a diverse congregation ranging from lifelong residents to young families new to the city, and celebrates a Spanish Mass to serve the growing Hispanic community. The parish emphasizes meeting both spiritual and temporal needs through liturgy, worship, service, hospitality, and evangelization, with a particular commitment to reaching those on the peripheries of society. Father Gerardo Carcar leads the congregation, which operates across three sites in West Allis and invites visitors—whether lifelong Catholics, those returning to faith, or those curious about Catholicism—to experience their welcoming community.

Service Format: Saturday Vigil Mass at 4:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Site and 7:00 p.m. at Holy Assumption Site (in Spanish); Sunday Mass at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Assumption Site; daily Mass and Liturgy of the Word with Communion services available. Visitor Tips: Confession is available Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Site and 6:00 p.m. at Holy Assumption Site; Eucharistic Adoration occurs Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Site.
