About Urban Poiema Church
Urban Poiema Church is a contemporary congregation in West Allis led by Lead Pastor Cuauhtémoc (Temo) Rios. The church began as a Hispanic/Latino ministry and describes itself today as a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational community. Its name comes from the Greek word “poiema,” meaning “workmanship” or “masterpiece.” Sunday mornings are centered on a worship experience, while Wednesday evenings are set aside for Bible study through a virtual service. The church also offers children’s ministry, a youth group, and LIFE GROUPS as a way for people to connect in smaller settings.
