About Berkeley Presbyterian Mission
Berkeley Presbyterian Mission is a 501(c) certified non-profit organization established in 1937 to provide affordable housing and community support for international faith leaders, missionaries, scholars, and students pursuing advanced degrees at the Graduate Theological Union. The mission grew from the vision of Carolyn Babcock Adams, who needed temporary housing during her ministry furloughs from Korea. Today, BPMH operates seven cottages, an apartment complex, and two houses on its Regent Street property, welcoming single individuals and families while fostering multi-faith dialogue and personal growth. The organization is administered by an ecumenical board of volunteers and led by Executive Director Myoung-Ho Sin, who oversees events, administration, and operations. Beyond housing, BPMH cultivates vibrant community through regular gatherings, seasonal celebrations, and a shared commitment to supporting residents as they prepare to become global leaders and peacemakers in their home countries.
