Churches in Citrus Heights, CA

If you’re planning a first Sunday visit, most churches with shared schedules begin between 9 and 10 AM, with a smaller share starting earlier than 9 AM. None of the shared Sunday schedules begin later in the morning, so it’s wise to plan for an earlier start. Families have several options to ask about, since kids ministry and youth group are both present among local congregations. Small groups are also available at some churches, which can be helpful if you’re hoping to meet people beyond worship. If style matters to you, look for congregations that describe their worship as traditional, contemporary, or blended before deciding where to visit first.

What stands out is the mix of familiar evangelical churches and more specific traditions. Baptist churches are especially well represented, but the city also includes Lutheran, Church of God, Church of Christ, Assemblies of God, Byzantine Catholic, Catholic, and Quaker communities. Several churches describe themselves as welcoming or community-serving, and programs for youth and children suggest many congregations are thinking about families and ongoing connection.
