Dress Code: Modest and fashionable attire is expected; ladies should avoid extreme necklines or short hemlines and may wear slacks, while men typically wear suits, sport shirts with slacks, or dress shirts with ties; sleeveless tops should be paired with a sweater or jacket in the church. Service Format: Orthros (morning prayer service) lasts approximately 60 minutes and is followed immediately by Divine Liturgy, which lasts about 90 minutes, with no break between the two services; the liturgy includes scripture readings, the Eucharistic prayer, and Holy Communion. Visitor Tips: Visitors are welcome to light candles, venerate icons by bowing or kissing if desired, and may follow along with service books or simply observe; only those baptized and chrismated in the Orthodox Church receive Communion, but all are invited to receive blessed bread and join the post-service Agape meal potluck.
