Dress Code: Dress appropriately, modestly, and respectfully; avoid shorts, mini-skirts, tank tops, low-cut or strapless dresses (unless covered), and head coverings for men in the nave. Women may wear head coverings if desired, but it is not required. Service Format: The Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom is the main Sunday service, preceded by Matins (about 60 minutes), with the Liturgy itself running approximately 90 minutes. Great Vespers on Saturday evenings last 45–50 minutes. The service includes extensive sung worship (about 75 percent acapella), standing for most of the service, venerations, candle-lighting, and the exchange of the kiss of peace. Visitors may sit if needed and are invited to join a coffee hour after Sunday services. Visitor Tips: Greeters welcome visitors with a bulletin and service book. Non-Orthodox visitors cannot receive Holy Communion but are welcome to receive blessed fellowship bread at the veneration of the cross. No collection is taken, and no altar calls are made. Visitors should not light candles during Gospel readings, the Little Entrance, or sermons. Our clergy are available to answer questions about Orthodox Christianity and your spiritual journey.
