Dress Code: Men and boys should wear a head covering (kippah); men on the bima must also wear a tallit. Women are not required to wear a head covering unless coming to the bima, though many do wear a tallit and/or kippah. Dress appropriately in a suit, sport jacket and slacks, or dress/skirt, and avoid miniskirts and sleeveless or revealing clothing.
Service Format: Beth El offers a traditional Shabbat morning service from 9:30 a.m. to noon with broad congregant participation in Torah and Haftarah reading, plus daily minyan services, Friday evening services, and special programming like Shababa for preschoolers and Shabbat Under the Stars.
Visitor Tips: The congregation is egalitarian and very welcoming; those saying Kaddish or new to prayer communities are especially encouraged to attend minyan. Head coverings are available in a basket near the Sanctuary if you need one.
