About Newark Church of Christ
Newark Church of Christ has deep roots in the Newark community dating to 1961, when a small group began meeting together in Brookside. The church describes its focus as “Community Driven, Jesus Focused,” with ministries that connect worship, fellowship, and service. Its Life Groups are small, informal gatherings of about 8 to 15 people for fellowship. The church also has a long-standing campus ministry, Blue Hens for Christ, serving students at the University of Delaware. Other ministries and outreach include a food pantry, Youth & Family ministry, and a monthly yard sale that raises money for the People’s House.
