About St James Orthodox Church
St. James the Apostle Orthodox Church is a welcoming Orthodox Christian community in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, serving people of diverse ethnic backgrounds united in their faith. Founded in 1975 and established in its current location in 1979, the parish moved to a new temple in 2011 that was consecrated by the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America. The church operates under the mission of manifesting Jesus Christ through evangelism, teaching, sacraments, and discipleship, drawing members from Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian, and many other cultural traditions.
