About Cathedral Basilica
The Cathedral Basilica in Saint Augustine is described as the nation’s first Catholic parish and remains an important Catholic presence in the heart of the city. In addition to traditional Catholic worship, the cathedral offers guided “Behind the Scenes” tours on Monday through Friday and Sunday at 1:00 pm. These tours include areas such as the choir loft, sacristy, confessional, baptistery, chapel, and more. The Cathedral Bell Tower Gift Shop is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm inside the Cathedral Basilica. Group tours and pilgrimages are available by appointment only.
