About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church of Macon is a welcoming downtown congregation established in 1826 that has served the community for nearly two centuries. The church emphasizes knowing Christ and making Him known through authentic worship, life-giving community, and faithful biblical teaching. With ministries spanning all ages—from children and youth to young adults, women, and senior adults—the church creates space for people to meet Jesus, discover their spiritual gifts, and grow together as a church family. Sunday worship services are offered at 9:00 and 11:15 a.m., with Sunday School held between services from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m. As part of the Presbyterian Church in America, First Presbyterian is committed to right worship of God, faithful preaching of His Word, and the kingdom mission of making disciples throughout Macon and beyond.
