Churches in Harvard, IL

If you are planning a first Sunday visit in Harvard, it is wise to check directly with the church before you go, since few churches share Sunday service times publicly. Worship style information is available for only some congregations, but where noted, traditional worship appears more often than contemporary worship. Families may want to ask about kids ministry or youth group, since both are offered by a couple of churches. Small groups are also available at one church, which may be helpful if you are hoping to connect beyond Sunday worship. A good approach is to choose by tradition or emphasis first: Baptist fellowship, Presbyterian welcome, Bible-focused teaching at Harvard Bible Church, or Orthodox worship at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church.

What stands out in Harvard is the range of church traditions for a community of this size. Several congregations describe themselves around welcome, service, faith, and fellowship, while Harvard Bible Church highlights exegetical preaching and Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church serves the Greek Orthodox community. Visitors will find both familiar Protestant options and a distinct Orthodox presence, with some churches also offering ministries for children and youth.
