About St Paul's Episcopal Church
St. Paul's Episcopal Church has served the Evansville community since 1836, when a group of people answered God's call to establish an Episcopal worshiping community on the river. Today, the church continues its legacy of community engagement through ministries including a food pantry and Sister Joanna's Table, a collaborative weekly feeding program. St. Paul's describes itself as an intentionally welcoming, open and affirming congregation that seeks to be an inclusive space for reconciliation and service following the example of Jesus Christ. The church gathers to celebrate Holy Communion, hear scripture and preaching, and pray for the world, with two Sunday worship options that accommodate both traditional and contemporary preferences. Visitors are warmly invited to participate in worship at whatever level feels comfortable, and the church explicitly welcomes children of all ages as part of its worshiping community.
