About St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral
St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral is a historic parish founded in the aftermath of World War II by members of the Macedonian Orthodox community in Fort Wayne. The church has grown to welcome an ever-widening circle of Americans from various faith backgrounds who have discovered Eastern Orthodoxy, alongside descendants of the parish's original founders and Orthodox Christians of other ethnic traditions. Under the leadership of current Rector Fr. Andrew Jarmus, who brings over 25 years of pastoral and teaching experience, the parish emphasizes worship, education, and stewardship. The parish offers ministries spanning altar servers and choir to adult education and outreach, creating a community rooted in the apostolic faith and focused on spiritual healing and service to others. Worship services are conducted entirely in English, connecting participants to the earliest traditions of Christianity.
