About Cathedral Of Saint James
The Cathedral of Saint James is the oldest Episcopal congregation in South Bend, located at the northwest corner of Lafayette and Washington in the heart of downtown. This inclusive parish welcomes all people and embodies an affirming atmosphere for individuals of all backgrounds and walks of life. With a diverse membership drawn from South Bend and neighboring areas, the cathedral serves as a house of prayer for the community. Under the leadership of Dean and Rector the Very Reverend Brian G. Grantz, the cathedral offers multiple worship services throughout the week, including spoken Eucharist services on Sundays at various times and a Friday midday service. The parish invites visitors to seek God together and to participate in the worship and service of this historic cathedral.
