Churches United of the Quad City Area is an ecumenical coalition representing over 140 churches across 20+ Christian faith traditions in the greater Quad Cities region, serving hundreds of thousands of residents annually since its formation in 1961. The organization operates with a mission to bring member churches together in harmony to serve those in need, with a focus on hunger relief and emergency assistance. Through 25 food pantries and 2 free meal sites operating six days a week year-round, Churches United operates the largest free food provider in the bi-county area. Additionally, the organization provides emergency financial assistance through CareLINK and operates Winnie's Place, an emergency shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness or domestic violence.
