About New Mount Bethel Baptist
New Mount Bethel Baptist Church was founded on June 17, 1957, under the leadership of Rev. Medrick M. Washington and has served the Kenner, Louisiana community for nearly seven decades. Located at 1442 31st Street, the church relocated to its current spacious building in 1985 and continues its mission to exalt the Savior, edify saints, evangelize sinners, and elevate society. Under the leadership of Rev. Frederick Matthews, who became pastor in July 1998, the congregation remains committed to reaching the Lincoln Manor area and surrounding communities with a passion for Christ's truth and compassion for others. The church welcomes visitors seeking a faith community rooted in biblical Christianity and dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the disenfranchised and underserved.
