New Mount Bethel Baptist Church, located in Kenner, Louisiana, was founded on June 17, 1957, under the leadership of the late Rev. Medrick M. Washington and has served the community as a religious, charitable, missionary, and educational institution for over six decades. The church relocated to its current spacious facility at 1442 Thirty-First Street in 1985 and is currently led by Rev. Frederick Matthews. Grounded in the Great Commission, New Mount Bethel's mission is to exalt the Savior, edify saints, evangelize sinners, and elevate society, with a vision to reach and reproduce a people inspired and equipped with Christ's truth and compassion within the Lincoln Manor area and surrounding communities.
