About Living Word Christian Center
Living Word Christian Center is a non-denominational, Bible-believing church located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, founded in 2001 by Bishop Joseph and Dr. Cathy Banks. The church has grown from its humble beginnings in a family room to become one of the fastest growing ministries in Southwest Louisiana, now housed in a modern 800-seat sanctuary and expansive 100,000 square-foot facility on Ryan Street that includes classrooms, youth and children's churches, and community amenities. Living Word Christian Center emphasizes walking by faith with the Holy Spirit as guide, reaching people of all backgrounds with what they describe as God's love, and preparing believers for the end times. The ministry operates Life Christian University for ministerial training, produces a television program called Living by the Word, and has established a sister church in Durban, South Africa.
