About St. George Greek Orthodox Church
St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Shreveport welcomes both Orthodox Christians and those exploring the Orthodox faith tradition. The parish, located at 1719 Creswell Avenue, invites all to experience its Sunday worship services, which include Orthros (Matins) beginning at 9:00 am and the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am. While Holy Communion is reserved for baptized and chrismated Orthodox Christians, all visitors are welcomed to receive the antidoron (blessed bread) following the service and to participate in fellowship and refreshments in the activities center. The church emphasizes prayer, fellowship, and the ancient Christian tradition, with worship understood as central to Orthodox spiritual life. New visitors are encouraged to introduce themselves during the announcements period and to complete a visitor form to help the parish connect with you for future worship and spiritual growth.
