Churches in Bath, ME

For a first Sunday visit, expect most known service times to fall in the morning, especially between 10 and 11 AM, with some starting earlier. A few churches have traditional worship, so dressing comfortably but respectfully will fit well in many places. Families can look for congregations with kids ministry, and there are some youth group options for older children and teens. If you’re hoping to connect beyond worship, small groups are available at some churches. First Apostolic Church welcomes people of all ages to gather around worship, prayer, and studying Scripture together, while Bath United Methodist Church describes itself as a welcoming community of faith.

What stands out is the mix of heritage and welcome. Some churches speak clearly about long service and historic presence, while others emphasize spiritual growth, authentic relationships, or coming as you are. Church Of The New Jerusalem welcomes those seeking spiritual growth and community, and The Salvation Army Bath-Brunswick serves as a local Salvation Army corps. The overall feel is steady, relational, and community-minded.
