About St Paul's Lutheran Church
St. Paul's Lutheran Church is a vibrant and welcoming congregation located in Fulton, Maryland, founded in 1870 by German settlers who initially gathered in homes before constructing their first building. The current stone church building, dedicated in 1933 during the Great Depression, reflects the congregation's commitment and faith through the decades. Today, St. Paul's serves as a caring community nestled in a rural setting amid the expanding suburb of Maple Lawn, offering traditional Lutheran worship filled with classic hymns, meaningful liturgy, and warm hospitality. The church is part of the Delaware/Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and actively engages in social outreach ministries, community service, and faith formation for all ages. Visitors will find a diverse, multigenerational family of believers—some with roots reaching back generations and others newly arrived—all united in following Jesus Christ and sharing the Gospel with their community and beyond.
