North Chevy Chase Christian Church (NC4), affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), is a welcoming, multi-generational and multi-cultural congregation located in North Chevy Chase, Maryland, just off the Capital Beltway. The church is passionate about music and the arts, community building, and social justice work that serves poor and marginalized people. As an Open and Affirming congregation, NC4 explicitly welcomes all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, ability, economic status, and spiritual background. The community gathers for weekly Sunday worship at 11 a.m., followed by fellowship in Harlow Hall, and offers both in-person and online participation. Led by Senior Minister Rev. Stephen Tickner, NC4 emphasizes that people find God in many ways and seeks to support and affirm each person on their unique spiritual journey.
