Suburban Orthodox Congregation Toras Chaim, commonly known as SOTC or Suburban, is a vibrant Orthodox community located in Pikesville, Maryland, serving over 410 families of diverse backgrounds and ages. Led by Rabbi Shmuel Silber, the congregation provides daily minyanim alongside abundant opportunities for Torah learning tailored to various experience levels and learning styles. Beyond prayer services, Suburban offers extensive youth programming for children ages two through teens, active committee-led initiatives including an Israel Action committee, and multiple shiurim and classes for community members. The congregation takes special pride in creating a meaningful atmosphere for prayer and learning while fostering social connections and community service throughout the region and beyond.
