About Good Shepherd United Methodist Church
Good Shepherd United Methodist Church has served Waldorf since 1968 and continues its mission to engage and empower everyone to be living disciples of Jesus Christ. Sunday in-person worship is held at 10:00 AM, with youth classes and Adult Sunday School at 11:30 AM. The church offers children’s ministry and youth group opportunities, and it runs Good Shepherd Education Center, an early-childhood program accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education. Services are also streamed every Sunday at 10:00 AM on YouTube and Facebook. Rev. Laurie Gates-Ward serves the church as pastor.

Good Shepherd UMC began in March 1968 and held its first worship service in the new church building on September 8, 1968. The sanctuary was later rebuilt in 1981.
