About St John's Episcopal Church

St. John's Episcopal Church has served Gloucester and the surrounding area for over 160 years, rooted in Scripture and the Creeds while welcoming thoughtful dialogue on issues beyond core principles. As an Episcopal parish, St. John's is proud to offer the fullness of sacramental worship alongside active community ministries, including outreach to the Grace Center and Open Door, a lively choir, and thrift and rummage shops that serve the local community. The church welcomes everyone to its beautiful nave and sanctuary, with doors open Monday through Thursday mornings for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Beyond Sunday worship, St. John's partners with various community organizations and hosts gatherings that support Gloucester's residents.
