About The Metropolitan Christian Council
The Metropolitan Christian Council: Detroit-Windsor is an ecumenical organization that has served the Detroit and Windsor communities since 1919. Rather than a single congregation, the Council functions as a collaborative voice for Christian values across diverse denominations, promoting dialogue, understanding, and positive change in the region. The organization focuses on ecumenical collaboration, education programs, cultural events, and human services, including the Emmy Award-winning television program Interfaith Odyssey. Through events, seminars, forums, and partnerships with civic and religious organizations, the Council works to address contemporary community needs and foster racial and religious harmony. Visitors interested in ecumenical Christian dialogue and interfaith engagement are welcome to learn more about the Council's mission and programs.
