Rooted in history dating back to 1859 when John Howarth provided the land for the original Greek Revival schoolhouse, the church moved to its current location across the street in 1898 and continues to serve as a spiritual beacon for the surrounding community. Under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Herman, Howarth UMC gathers on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. to worship together, celebrate spiritual gifts of caring and leadership, and engage in faithful stewardship.
